Crossposting
May. 3rd, 2009 08:21 pmOkay, this is for those who have free accounts, or regular paid accounts. The number of crossposts you can make are somewhat less than for the highest paid tier.
Sorry, I don't have any Linux/Unix crossposting things to list yet. You guys who use those OSs are not less important, and I have some links somewhere for posting programs for those OSs, I just don't have the time to hunt for them right at the mo. I've done a mini tutorial for setting up Semagic. If you click on the Semagic tag down there, it will bring up those posts if you need it :)
- Deepest Sender : Is a Firefox addon for posting to your journals, and I believe it lets you post to several journals at once. (ETA: I've been informed that Deepest sender doesn't post to several journals at once, you'd have to cut and paste and send each one separately. The only benefit you'd have with DS is if you have very little HD space. DS is a small file. And you don't have to open several windows and tabs.)
- Semagic : Which you can set up so you can post to as many journals as you want, all with a couple of clicks.

Date: May 4th, 2009 11:51 am (UTC)And thank you for that! It has been a while since I used Deepest Sender. I'll correct that.
I fell in love with Semagic, and uninstalled Deepest Sender, but for those with very little HD space, Deepest Sender might be a viable option.
A lot of people have only a 20 - 80 GB HD. And dial up for their internet connection. It's way faster to download Deepest Sender to FF, than Semagic, even though neither file is really big.
I'd never survive with a 20-80 GB HD unless I had lots of external storage. I have too many programs. And OMG pics, and 10 GB of books. Just my freakin' music folder is 60 GB!! O_o
