I would want to see the actual statistics and findings on the NY City water supply, because I doubt this one. New York City's water is piped down from a lake in the Adirondacks, in an uninhabited area. It is about as close to clean and pure as you can get. The only way that I can envision anything getting into it is if it's in the rainwater, which is unlikely.
