IMO -- The issue with diet sodas isn't the benzene, it's the aspartame. The FDA declared aspartame safe in 1981 with the following exceptions: "Certain people with the genetic disease phenylketonuria (PKU), those with advanced liver disease, and pregnant women with hyperphenylalanine (high levels of phenylalanine in blood) have a problem with aspartame because they do not effectively metabolize the amino acid phenylalanine, one of aspartame's components. High levels of this amino acid in body fluids can cause brain damage. Therefore, FDA has ruled that all products containing aspartame must include a warning to phenylketonurics that the sweetener contains phenylalanine." http://www.fda.gov
I think it's all of it. They're a toxic brew. The chlorine and fluoride in the water combined with aspartame and whatever else is in them make them a slow poison that people dose themselves with. It's no wonder diseasees are going through the roof.
These big companies don't give a damn about is. They used to put cocain in coca cola for heaven's sake. They only stopped doing that when they were forced too, and it hurt their profits. These big companies spend millions every year trying to convince us they're our friends when in reality it's outr money that's their friend. As long as selling poison is profitable and they can bribe the FDA to allow it, they'll keep on selling it. The Boards of these companies are only concerened with their quarterly reports.
