Not really a surprise to me, given the reports on childhood obesity over the last decade. What's more shocking is the fact they probably can't pass the very basic PT test that's given on the first day of basic... Something like 10 pushups and 50 situps, IIRC.
You got that right. I knew the numbers were high, but this shocked even me. I guess their dumbing down and social engeneering experiments with the kids are coming back to kick them in the ass. You can't have it both ways, dumb little robots or smart enough to think for themselves. Meh they don't even tereach kids how to balance checkbooks in school anymore. They don'[t learn economics or about the Constitution, instead they're inundated with touchy feely bullshit.
I really don't understand it. School is for learning Math, REading and etc, socialization happens in the course of the day. How can a kid go through 12 years of school and know nothing. WHat are we paying teachers for anyway? And they want more money!
