'm not dead..Again

And ya know, I hate moving..I really hate moving..
Arggghhhh.. Moving is such a pain in the rear...
It took forever to get everything packed up..
Renting a moving truck is a trial and a half.. Especially with several different work schedules to work around..
Then when we finally got everything off the truck we found that the refrigerator didn't work. So on top of all the moving expenses we had to go out and buy a refrigerator.
Then to my surprise, I hadn't noticed before, this house does not have one phone jack anywhere.
I was so angry with AT&T I could have spit nails. I specifically asked them if there was previous service at this address and had the service transferred. I then had to call them and find out why they transferred my service to a house that obviously could have no service. I canceled the service from AT&T and called the cable company...It worked out better for me anyway as I am now getting cable internet at a higher speed than I was getting from AT&T at the the same price. I plan on getting the Ooma system int he next few weeks for phone service if things go alright.
I did have to wait for a week for a technician to come out and connect the service at the pole, but this house has cables in just about every single room. I set up the internet connection myself so there was no set up or connecting fee, and the cable company gave me a free modem with no rental charges. Soooo
Pheewwww I'm tired.. It's been a busy three weeks..
Oh and to top it off, we've all been exposed to a bacterial form of whooping cough, which my grand daughter caught while visiting her Dad, and we didn't know she had, so everyone in the house is tasking a 14 day course of antibiotics. There seems to be a major outbreak of this strain of whooping cough in this area over the summer. We all had to wear face masks at the Dr's office, and the pharmacy would openly let one person go in with all the prescriptions and the one person had to wear a face mask..
So dang this has been a STRESSFUL t month or so..
I started rereading Harry Potter books on my PDF reader while the internet wasn't connected and I'm up to book 6.
Yep, escapist fic iris my favored form of stress relief.
After I've finished with Harry Potter I have to catch up with all the new fic AGAIN!

Now that I bored you all to tears with my trials and tribulations, I'll talk to y'all later.
